New Song

I have added a new song "you're so beautiful" by James Blunt, a colleague from Palma de Mallorca sent the lyrics and an exercise to complete the blanks. It put me on the way to finish what I had thought I could do with this song. I'm sure young students are listening to it on the radio on these days. I hope you can use it, too.

surveys

I was creating a submission form for the Call for papers for the Eurocall conference 2006 and, by chance, I realised the surveys I had on my website were not working http://www.isabelperez.com/quest.htm and that, in fact, it's a long time since I haven't recieved any answers. I have solved the problem and now they are working again. I really need a sabbatical to check everything and do some other interesting things,

Tim Berners-Lee

have a look at this interview with the creator of the WWW. Tim Berners-Lee.
I have kind of admiration for this man.
BBC Interview
Here, among other things, he talks about the opportunities that the Blogs offer to creativity avoiding all the technical problem of editing web pages,

Eurocall 2005/2006 and GRETA 2005

Eurocall 2005 is taken place next week 24-27 in Crakow, Poland. http://www.eurocall-languages.org/.

Next year Granada will be hosting it and I have enjoyed part of my holidays designing the web. Still have to add lot of content, but at least the design is ready for the presentation in Crakow http://www.ugr.es/~eurocall/index.html. By the way the XXI GRETA Conference is taking place next September. http://www.infogreta.org/jornadas/xxiconference_info.htm.

updating

Somehow I'm updating my page, revising links and again I've found wonderful pages in the BBC. I wonder how many people work in their projects. I wouldn't mind being part of the team. Have a look at this list of findings:

June

He estado actualizando un poco algunos enlaces.
I have also updated some links in the news section, one very good from the BBC, a friend sent it to me. The BBC is really amazing.

And that's all. i know i don't write much on the Blog. I must confess I do not like expressing much on the Web. I feel anybody can read it and I feel shy.

Student List Project

I received a message from Thomas Robb, a guru in the world of e-mail exchanges, http://www.kyoto-su.ac.jp/~trobb/index.html. He leads an email project called "The Student List Project". It uses Moodle and seems to me a great experience. I copy part of his message below:

"Essentially, the SL Project provides a way for your students to discuss topics of mutual interest in a 1-to-many situation rather than the normal penpal 1-on-1. Your students can join any of the forums listed below, read what has already been posted and reply to whatever postings stir their imagination. They receive copies of all
postings for the forums that they subscribe to by e-mail, but can also view all previous postings via the web interface.

Recent discussions, all student initiated, include topics such as the
use of mobile phones, smoking in public, one's ideal partner, blind
dates, baseball, current movie hits, and more!

The project uses Moodle, an innovative student management system.
This allows you, as an instructor, to view all of your own students'
postings so that you can give timely advice to them as needed."

To take part in this project You can contact Tom for the "enrollment key" on this page: http://www.kyoto-su.ac.jp/~trobb/#sl

March, a hectic time

March has been a hectic time for me. i've moved to a new job in my home town, Granada. For some time I'll be working in the virtual learning centre at Granada University http://cevug.ugr.es. A place that suits me a lot, but I miss my students and colleagues. I'm in charge of European projects and so will be in contact with other universities, but I don't mean to leave my interest in Secondary education or stop updating my website. This is my way of life, always involved in different things and at different levels. Most of all I like learning and researching. I thank life for being generous to me and give me the chance to do so many different things.

Murcia Workshop

http://servicios.laverdad.es/murcia/pg050108/prensa/noticias/Television/200501/08/MUR-TV-108.html

Good news.

bibliography on WebQuest

I've just published the list of references I used in my Phd dissertation about the design of WebQuests. Just in case anyone is doing a research on WebQuests too.

Proyectos educalia
